When we considerd Gods message for all people as contained in the Bible.

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, left us with the question:

"For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?"

(Mark chapter 8 verse 36)

It is possible to live a busy, prosperous and 'successful' life by our own standards

to enjoy the best that the world has to offer as far as family, leisure and business is concerned

and yet to totally miss the point to life and more importantly to be unprepared when

we meet God.

In the light of meeting God at His Judgement Seat how much of our life really counts?

God warns us in His Word to:

"Prepare to meet thy God" (Amos 4:12)

Because:

" it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:" (Heb9:27)

Gods message in the Bible is:

1 - We have all sinned and fallen short of His infinite standard of Holiness

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God "(Romans 3:23)

2 - Our sin will bring about eternal separation from God in Hell and the Lake of Fire:

"But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his

face from you, that he will not hear." (Isaiah 59:2)

3 - God now commands us to repent (turn) from our sin, that is our rejection of Gods

authority over our life, our wrong actions and evil thoughts towards others

and our self centred lives:

"And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every

where to repent:  Because he hath appointed a day,

in the which he will judge the world in righteousness

by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men,

in that he hath raised him from the dead. " (Acts17:30-31)

4 - God has provided a way whereby my sins can be forgiven and the power

to live a new life pleasing to God can be received.

Gods means of salvation is NOT by good works, neither by

religious endeavour which merely lead to self-righteous pride and hypocrisy:

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)

5 - Gods way of salvation is totally by His Grace and is due to His loving Kindness,

it must be received by man as a free Gift and cannot be claimed because we think that

we deserve it. We don't, we deserve death and judgement:

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life

through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Rom6:23)

6 - God has provided a sacrifice for my sins in the death of His Son Jesus Christ

on the Cross of Calvary. Who has voluntarily taken the punishment for the sin

of all who will believe in Him for forgiveness and salvation.

"For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust,

that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh,

but made alive by the Spirit." (1Peter3:28)

"how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures" (1 Corinthians 15:3)

7 - Jesus Christ, the Son of God is able to hear my cry of repentance, forgive my sins,

save me from the judgment of God and change my life

because He has been raised from the dead

and is alive forever.

"Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him,

seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them." (Hebrews 7:25)

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,

that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John3:16)
